Danae Eleni

Anglo-Greek Lyric Soprano Danae Eleni won the 2021 Concorso Musica Sacra (Rome) and, in 2022, will tour Italy, Greece, Romania, and the Czech Republic. As an opera singer, in 2021/2022 Danae made role debuts as Mimì, La bohème (Jerash Festival - Jordan); as Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni (Szeged Symphony Orchestra - Hungary); as Contessa Almaviva, le nozze Di Figaro (KMD - Dubrovnik); and covered Marguerite, Faust (Opera de Bauge - France).

Danae is a contemporary music and music education ambassador, co-founding the online international NexTus Festival, leading opera workshops in Bosnia with the English Pocket Opera Company, and lecturing at Yale-NUS, Singapore. Danae is based in Warsaw and, in addition to performing, co-founded "Help Musicians Ukraine", an initiative to support musicians affected by the war; and is working with “RIMA” and “Imagining Peace”.

Born in Bahrain, Danae studied at the Royal College of Music and the University of Oxford.
